The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) has opened applications for its 2022 Cadetship Program.
The program provides graduates with a unique insight into the development of the National Construction Code (NCC), and the opportunity to develop skills relevant to the construction industry.
It also gives candidates the opportunity to work in the Australian Public Service, and to work on projects that are intended to help develop real-world professional skills.
Applicants who have studied or worked in the following fields are encouraged to apply:
- Building certification/building surveying
- Building/built environment
- Construction management
- Structural engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Energy efficiency/sustainability
- Plumbing or hydraulic design (or associated fields).
The ABCB office is based in Canberra, and the Cadetship Program usually commences each February for a period of 12 months. More information about how to apply is available here.
