The National Energy Efficient Building Project (NEEBP), on behalf of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council National Energy Productivity Plan, has developed the Energy Efficiency Skills Program.
Offered as part of the Cross-Industry Skills Training Project, the Program is designed to help industry professionals comply with set requirements under the National Construction Code (NCC) 2019.
Energy efficiency building compliance is a major issue in construction, and plays a large role in life-style affordability and comfort.
Designers and architects who fail to comply with the NCC are facing increasing consequences, particularly in terms of cost and delays. Builders can potentially be held liable for any rework that’s needed. Non-compliance may also result in the withholding of certificates of occupancy.
The Energy Efficiency Skills Program courses show professionals how to comply at every stage of the build.
The courses available include:
- Energy Compliance in the NCC: An Introduction
This course will provide you with an introduction to energy efficiency and how it is applied to the built environment.
- Energy Compliance in NCC Volume One
This course provides an overview of the Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions for Section J.
- Energy Compliance in NCC Volume Two
This course will provide you with an overview of the Elemental Provisions for Part 3.12.
- Five Key Energy Efficiency Strategies for Homes
This course explores the most common energy efficiency issues that affect existing homes.
- Systems Thinking in Residential Design
