Passivhaus professionals thrive at national conference

The Australian Passivhaus Association is hosting the THRIVE 2024 Passivhaus Conference from May 23–24 in Melbourne, Victoria.

The conference will cover everything from technical implementation and Passivhaus studies to inspiring stories about the impact of building standards. Experts from around the world will attend to present on the benefits of good design.

It will also include a trade show with product and component suppliers and manufacturers, where stall holders will demonstrate products like innovative windows and insulation.

The first day of the conference will include presentations on payback modelling, Passivhaus culture, using Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) for compliance, biophilia and rangehood strategies.

The second day includes topics such as mass timber and modular construction, the respiratory benefits of Passivhaus, the trials and tribulations of Passivhaus builders, EnerPHit as a solution to big policy issues, and embedding Passivhaus in planning policy.

It will take place at the Rydges Hotel in Melbourne from May 23–24, 2024. Early-bird ticket prices are available until February 7. For more information or to register, click here.
