Entries are open for the Premier’s Sustainability Awards 2021 until July 30, 2021.
Sustainability Victoria runs the awards on behalf of the Victorian government to recognise and reward Victorians implementing sustainability initiatives across the state.
The organisation says it hopes the awards will “inspire industry, businesses, communities, local governments, schools and individuals across Victoria to take action towards a more sustainable future”.
The award categories align with Victoria’s current sustainability focuses and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They include:
- Clean, affordable and secure energy
- Climate action
- Healthy environment
- Social and economic justice
- Sustainable places
- Waste reduction and the circular economy.
There is a Community Champion and Industry Leader award within each category. It is free to apply, and the awards present an opportunity to network with key environmental, industry and government groups; and attract new customer bases and build new relationships.
More information on how to apply is available here.
