Property Council of Australia names its six developments of the year

The Property Council of Australia has unveiled its leading six developments from across the country as part of its 2020 Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards program.

“While 2020 has been a challenging year, celebrating Australia’s finest projects and the people who create them serves as a powerful reminder,” says the Property Council’s CEO Ken Morrison. “We are proud to unveil six spectacular developments that underscore the central role of our industry in the shape of our cities and the prosperity of our nation.”

The winners of the Rider Levett Bucknall State Development of the Year Awards are: Investa’s Barrack Place, New South Wales; Oxley + Stirling, Queensland; The Cove by Blackburne, Western Australia; Collins Square, Victoria; Googong North, Australian Capital Territory; and U City, South Australia.

RLB has partnered with the Property Council to present the awards program since its inception in 1982.

“Each of these innovative projects share the story of city-building in their state or territory, and underpins the role of our industry creating jobs, growth and opportunities for all Australians,” says RLB’s Oceania Chair Peter Tulla.

Each project is now competing at the national awards, which will be held virtually on Thursday, October 22.
